Brand New Life

Haha. Juz realized that i haven't post anything to introduce my new life in IPGM Kampus Sarawak, Miri (A teacher training college, in case some ppl don't know). Eager to know about it? Maybe I should get my blog updated with it now. I was just too busy to update my blog these days. Hehe..

A lot of things happened in these few months time. Starting from the orientation week till now it's almost the end of the year and we are going to have our holiday soon. Yes! Really miss my family and friends back in Kuching. Nvm, just a few days to go.

Our orientation week is actually a 'ragging' week by the seniors (Surely die if seen by them). After all, it's over already and i don't actually mind much about it. Just treat it as some sort of challenges. Yaya, we dance all sort of wierd wierd dances such as the Banana dance, Siput, Side the side... bla bla bla.. To tell you the truth, I don't actually remember much bout it. Lol.

Next, I met my course mates. There are 13 of them. A month later, another 4 late comers join us again. So, there are actually 17 of us in one class now. Feel nice to know them! Lol. Have a lot of fun with them too. Because of them my life is not that dull anymore. Cheers! And this is our family photo! Haha.

Our campus is not that big but still ok ok coz you just don't have to walk miles and miles far from one place to another. Sometimes i just can't imagine those campus where they use cars to travel from place to place just inside the campus... Let's see some of the photos of our campus :)

At the very back there, the building is the gym. Also a badminton court.

Erm... what else to talk about... Ya, bout the subject we have here.. Basically, for our batch, the 2009 July intake PPISMP, we will be having our foundation for one and a half year, then proceed with degree course for 5 years. We have 7 different majoring classes here, should be 6 coz we have 2 BC classes.. They are BC, Maths, BM, P.Seni Visual, Pendidikan Khas, TESL. Yup, and i am taking TESL here. We major in English, minor will be PJK and P.Sosial. English is sub-divided into 4 components: Language Description (all the grammar thingy will be here), Language Development, Social Studies and English Studies (literature). Other then these subjects, we still have a lot of other subjects such as ICT, Maths, EIC (study bout EQ), Thinking Skills, Kemahiran Belajar... Next Sem, we will have new subjects coming up again. The subjects are all very very new to me, i must say. But what can i do? The only thing is to try my best to cope with it and make a clearer path for myself. Haiz...

At first, i was really not use to the floating classes system they have here, which means we have to keep moving from classes to classes when a particular period ends. So we have to move a lot. Besides that, i think the worst thing would be...our lecturers are all to busy to attend our classes, as a result we have to have replacement classes. Coz 'You Know', we can't graduate if we do not have enough face-to-face interaction hours.. whatsoever..

Bout the Cafe here.. duh.. i don't think i wanna mention much bout it.. Everyday same dishes...And it's extremely expensive!! One piece of 'tiny little' chicken and some 'tiny little' vegetables will cost you RM3!! This is really even more sickening when you have no choice but to eat there as there is no other cafeteria besides that one...

Ah! Another thing will be the hostel. Due to the huge amount of students we have this year, three persons have to squeeze into a really 'large' and 'grand' room. What to do.. It's quite ok when we started to get use to it. You just have to share the table and cabinet. And the third person have to sleep on the floor with mattress loh.. Nvm, next year everything will return to normal again, 2 persons in 1 room as the older seniors are asked to stay outside. Lol, i just remembered i have some photos of my room..

My bed, the one with black, red and grey, not the purple one.. (a bit messy, i know), table and noticeboard.
